Just grasping at straws.

We secured a doohickey to connect
an old [Thai] keyboard to XP, now find
a coupla keys not working.

Any old timers know of an ancient remedy
whereby keys can be revived, or is it as I expect,
the thing is dead?

Since a keyboard is a piece of hardware that has nothing
in particular to do with Windows, a hardware newsgroup
would be the right place to ask. They migh point out that
keyboards cost next to nothing, so why bother?

Yep, I can understand that,
it's just the fact it's a Thai keyboard
I cannot pick one up at the local shop
and have to wait for one from overseas.
You don't get anywhere unless you ask.

A smile costs nothing, so why bother?

Indeed - in a hardware group! And if you can touch-type
then you can use your standard US keyboard to type Thai
characters. You can see the layout here:

(requires Internet Explorer).
