review system history?

I assume this term means to see what changes have taken place
recently, such as new services or drivers etc.

If this is correct where do I get this information?

Use the Event Viewer.
Go to Start - Run and type eventvwr.msc and press enter.

But this doesn't tell me what software or drivers were introduced in the last
24hrs. What youre suggesting is only the event log.
