Reverting to Original Format

I opened a new workbook in 2003 and pasted a table from MS word into the
Excel.

The transfer of the data went fine, but the display of the worksheet
predictably changed. Highlighting a cell makes the cell outline go white
instead of dark, for example.

How can I change the formatting of the cells to their original look when you
first open Excel?

Thanks,

Dennis

You may want to try pasting as text to see if that avoids the trouble.

Or after the fact, you could:
select the range
format|Cells
Patterns tab|no color
Font tab|automatic color

(and as many other formats as you can determine)

Dave,

Thanks, I formatted the cells as you suggested, I also selected Borders - no
border.

All is back to normal.

Thanks a bunch,

Dennis
