Return from standby AIW 9800 noise

Has anyone had this problem and or know of a fix?
I have the ATI 9800 All In Wonder and all features work fine. My
problem is that upon return from standby - the tv sound is active.
At that stage i can either reboot or start the tv feature and
immediately shut it off.

This does not happen if say a screen saver kicks in.

This all started when i updated to the latest drivers. Sadlyt
uninstalling - cleaning and reinstalling the old ones did not solve
the problem.

I've had similar issues at times and doing a good complete uninstall then
reinstalling usually worked. What method of uninstall are you using? Are you
deleting the install directory so Windoze doesn't just reinstall same setup?
Are you cleaning up your registry? Deleting all ATI files and loading in VGA
mode?

I found a way to fix it. ATI's uninstall does NOT delete the WDM
files so when you go to install the older version, windows grabs the
latest driver automnatically. The trick is to manually update the wdm
drivers in device manager and use the older version that matches the
older driver pack.
