Hello, sound initialization wizard can't be set but mmc Tv 9.03 plays sound, even if all audio
cables are unplugged. The problem is there: sound is awfull.
I'd like to use the plug that connects audio card to video card inside the PC, as i did so far with
older Ati AIW.
Any advise welcome on how to activate sound wizard shown here:

Sometimes when the ATI wares are installed the sound card drivers get hosed.
Try reinstalling the sound card drivers .

If your using 9.03 the simplest way would be to go back to the WDM drivers
that don't have the digital audio. Cat 5.2 IIRC.

It's possible to install the analog drivers on newer releases. Probably up
to Cat6.1. Fairly sure it's been gone through on rage3d.com. If you Google
the site for the words analog, digital, audio and NSP, or some variation,
you should be able to find what you want.

Hello,
This is about the same problem as described above, one time on ten, when TV starts, the sound is
good. This is very frustrating, i don't know what makes a problem. maybe the sound blaster live
card. I hope Ati's gonna make a mmc that doesn't use its own audio decoder... I also noticed video
jerks when image moves fast. Any solution's welcome.

Set Sound Hardware Acceleration to Basic(second from left) in DirectX or in
Control Panel>Sounds and Audio Devices>Speaker
Settings>Advanced>Performance. Have to do this with the Cyberlink decoder
used with the HDTV Wonder. At least with MMC. Seems to work fine on Full
with WatchHDTV.

Catalyst 5.2 and mmc 9.06.1 will accept sound initialization wizard BUT sound and video WDMs drivers
will need to be loaded manually through the device manager: use the *.inf in the Ati folder
c:\ATI\support\...WDM\WDM_XP.
I'd like to Ask Ati why this doesn't load itself when installing 5.2 Catalyst.
Thanks T Shadow for your astuces.
Bbye
