Return address used in email replyl

I have a strange thing happening in Outlook. I have a user that sends email
to someone and if/when a reply comes back, if he wants to reply to the reply
of the origingal message the address used is different than the one used in
the original message. The person in question is connected to their Exchange
server but also has a POP3 email account that is hosted on thier ISP. The
POP3 account is listed second in the list of email accounts to use in
Outlook. So why when he replies to a reply does Outlook use this second
account address for the sender address?? I created a similar setup on my
Outlook and the address that is originally used to send the message stays the
same even in replies. Any help is appreciated.

The version of Outlook is 2000 and the version of Exchange is 2K also. I dont think it is SBS put I will double check.

If you're using Outlook 2000 or prior version, note that MS doesn't support
using Internet mail and Exchange in the same Outlook profile. It can lead to
all sorts of other problems. Best to ditch POP and have all company mail
hosted directly on the Exchange server (presuming this is a registered
domain you own) or use another profile for the POP mail, or use OE or
webmail for it. You may be able to get your current config working
sometimes, but not always, and as I said, it isn't a supported config.
