Retrieving Old Messages

As Tech Director for a school district I have been asked if there is any way
to retrieve messages for a user from Nov 1, 2004 to June 1, 2005. The users
regularly deletes most messages and empties the deleted items folder. Since
then the user has been assigned a new computer and all contents of the My
Documents folder were copied to the new computer.

Any suggestions will be appreciated
 
If your using a exchange then there might be admin level retention policies
But if your using a POP3 set up then the massages are long gone
 
Messages are stored in a PST file, which usually is not stored in 'My
Documents'.

If there are no backups or archive files for that period, then your
chances to retrieve deleted items are very slim.
