Retrieve Old Emails

Hi There,

I need to retrieve some old emails which i deleted 6 months back. How can i
retrieve this. When i use windows desktop search & search for this email i
can see it. But i cant see the body of the message. It says this message had
been moved or delated. Can you please let me know how to retrieve this email.

How did you delete them?

From your backups, restore the .pst file to an alternate path, like to a
temp folder. Use File -> Open menu in Outlook to open the restored .pst
file. Drag whatever you want from the old message store to your current
one.

In preparation to the deer-caught-in-headlights stare followed by
"I don't have backups" statement, here is my response:
If you don't do backups, you deem your data worthless or reproducible.

I don't use (nor need) file indexers so I am not familiar with MS Search
(from which, I believe, they dropped the "Desktop" from its name). I
suspect it is possible that is index database still contains old records
of e-mail items that it discovered before but the database has not been
updated to delete those defunct records. So it shows you what you used
to have and not what you actually have.
