Hi, i want to know if there is any way to prevent or restrict a user from
download any EXE file in internet explorer. i am running on windowsXP Prof.
 
You can configure your Web Content zones to not allow downloads altogether, but not
by specific extension. You can however configure Software Restriction Policies to
keep a user from running/installing an unauthorized application. On a standalone
computer however the enforcement policy can be configured to exempt only
administrators from the rules, not selected users/groups. --- Steve
