restricted user cannot create folders in "Program Files" folder

Hi

On my WinXP Pro I have an administrator account and a regular account.
I am able to do anything under "C:\Program Files" with the administrator
account but when I try to create a new folder with the regular account I get
the message "Unable to create folder 'New Folder' Access is denied"
the owner of "C:\Program Files" is "Administrators"

Is there a way of enabling my regular account to create folders and files
under "C:\Program Files" without making him an administrator ?

You can grant the user necessary NTFS permissions to the folder:

But as a general rule unless you are installing software you don't
really want or shouldn't need to create folders in the Programs Files
directory.

This is true, as the main advantage of running as a limited user is to limit
the ability of malware to download and install other malicious programs. If
malware running under your account can write to 'program files' then this
advantage is largely negated.
