Hello,

Anyone knows how to remove IE6 xp2 active content restrictions ONLY for
selected files or folder in the local hard disk? I tried the following, but
did not work:

1. In IE "tools/Internet options/security/Trusted sites/Sites" I tried to
add c:\sites\. It says "Sites in this zone must use https:// prefix..."

2. In IE "tools/Internet options/security/Local intranet/Sites/advanced",
tried to add //casa/sites/ (after sharing "sites") does not work.

I don't know what else to try. I run an apache server on my pc. When I
serve the document from the server there are no problems because I can add
the site as a trusted site, but when I double click on a document to take a
quick look of how it looks (not serving it) it always blocks active content.
Thanks,

GS

Thanks so much. That works. It is not a very graceful solution, but it does
its job.

For 1. there is an option box there you can uncheck to be able to enter
http:// sites.
