When I go to burn a backup (Using NTI) and want to include the main
folder "Documents & Settings" there are a few sub-folders I'm told I
don't have access to. The one I'm most concerned with is the one with
'my name', which NTI tells me I can't access. I don't understand
this, as I am the only one using this computer. Any suggestions?

Assuming you're using Pro, right click the Documents and Settings folder and
select Sharing and Security. Go to the Security tab. Make sure that
Administrators and your username have "full control" access to this folder.
Repeat for the folders that you're having trouble with.

I'll give it a try. I assume you mean the 'Sharing' tab, as there is
no 'Security' tab.

If you don't see the Security tab, in Windows Explorer, go to Tools, Folder
Options, View and uncheck Use simple file sharing. Again, this assumes XP
Pro. For XP Home, you can only see the Security tab in Safe Mode.

There is a work around though:

How Do I Get the Security Tab in Properties - XP Home (makes the Security
tab appear outside of Safe Mode)

I am using pro and just unchecked the tab. Thanks, Doug.
