I have just completed my first scan, all ok but I have
placed a file in quarantine by mistake, on the last scan
status, its showing 1 file in quarantine but when I go to
quarantine, its not showing any file, but I need to
restore the file.
Any idea's anyone ?

Tools > Spyware Scan > Manage Spyware Quarantine.

Hopefully you didn't select 'Remove' by accident. If you
did, then the file WILL NOT show in the quarantine, as it
has been removed (i.e., deleted) from the system.

Hi, I didn't select remove, its telling me that the file
I need to restore was placed in quarantine on the last
scan but when I open the quarantine up, its showing that
theres nothing in there, any ideas ?

Go to c:\Program Files\Microsoft
Antispyware\DeactivatedItems and see if any files are
there. If so then make a copy of that file and place it
somewhere on your system other than the MSAS folder.
Uninstall MSAS, delete the entire folder from the Program
Files folder, and reboot. Now reinstall MSAS, place the
file back in the DeactivatedItems folder, and reboot.

You could even try to run an update of the program. Go
to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add or Remove
Programs > MSAS > Update, place the file in the
DeactivatedItems folder, and reboot.

Hopefully either of these will allow MSAS to see the file.

But before you do that you might want to make a backup of
the entire MSAS folder or use System Restore to create a
checkpoint so if that causes problems you can restore the
system just in case that doesn't work.
