Restoring old backup files

I backed up some oldfiles onto floppy some years ago using Windows ME. I've
since come across the discs and was trying to view the data on them by
restoring them onto a Windows Xp machine. ApparentlyWindows Xp doesn't
recognise the .qic file-type.
Anyone any ideas how can get my stuff back?

They pretty much tell you to go to another PC that still has Win98/ME
and open the files from there, put them on a CD and take them to your
new XP unit.
