Restoring emails to POP server

Slinky Whippet

Hi there,
Does anyone know how to restore emails to the POP server?
Im pretty desperate after using the Office Outlook for the first time and it
deleting 1700 emails from my Yahoo inbox (including very sentimental emails
from deceased friends and family which I have kept in my Yahoo account for
years). I have them on my laptop but would really like them back on the
server so I can access them anytime and anywhere again.
I have put all the ones I want to restore in the same colour catagory but
have no idea what to do now or if there is anything I can do.
Please help if you can,
Thanks,
Rebecca

There's no way to do that except by forwarding them to yourself again. POP
is a one-way protocol. Now, if you had IMAP access to the Yahoo mailbox,
you could do it, but Yahoo doesn't run an IMAP server.

Thanks for the speedy response Brian.
Its a shame there isnt an easy way to sort this out but I will start
forwarding the important ones now.
Kind Regards
Rebecca

I think all you can do is forward them on, and make sure that you tick the
box "leave a copy of the message on the server" (Tools menu, Email accounts,
change select the account, click Advanced button, Delivery tab - at least
that is what it is in Outlook 2003)

Forward them as attachments and you'll have the original sender information.
