Some photos were deleted by
mistake last night. Is there any
way to recover them?

Check your recycle bin.

Maybe this freebie will help if the
deleted files have not been overwritten.

I downloaded this program but I don't think it's going to do what I
want.
The photos were deleted from my PC and I need to get them back. Not
from the camera itself.

OK...I guess you checked the recycle bin?

That's what PC INSPECTOR File
Recovery is for...there's a different one
that restores files from a memory card.

And there are many other programs for
this purpose...if you search the net for
File Recovery you will find lots of them.

If you click the User Manual tab on the
main screen...it should help you get
started.

No guarantees....but after downloading
and installing PC Inspector File Recovery...
open the program and try the following
steps...

Choose Language...left click the large
Green Check mark...

On the next screen...left click the Red X...

Now...on your main screen...left click the
top tab in the left pane..."Open Drive"...

In the "Select Drive" window...select
your main drive...probably, "Windows Drive C:"

Left click the Green Check Mark...

After a quick scan, you should see the
following in your "Folders" column.

Root
Deleted
Lost
Searched

In the left pane...left click the..."Find Files"
tab. (third tab from top...looks like a magnifying
glass)

Enter your search criteria in the "Name"
field. Example...if you are searching for
..jpg files....enter the following.....
*.jpg (yes you need the asterisk)
This will find all .jpg files.

Left click the Green check mark.

After the scan...scroll through the list of
found files and if the files you wish to recover
have not been overwritten due to activity
on your hard drive hopefully you will be
successful.

Select a file or group of files and right
click the selection.

From the menu...select...Save To...

Choose the save to location and left click
the Green check mark.

Good luck.

well, they may have been
relocated to the recycle bin or
they were moved into another
folder and you didn't catch the
affect. and there might be a possibility
a copy of them is still on the memory
card.

if they were deleted from the recycle
bin then you simply removed the name
of the file from the list of last resort. but
the files are still on the harddrive and
the program suggested by the other posting
will find them and list them for you.

if they never were sent to the recycle bin then
you likely moved them with a quick flip of the
wrist with the mouse. you can find them
and their new location via search in file explorer.
