Restore Vista Home Basic to like when I bought it.

Hi everyone, I'm Jon.

The software i have is Vista Home Basic 32 bit. I'm having problems with it
lately, I think it's because of something I must of installed. Anyways, I
wanted to know if theres a way that I can somehow restore my computer to be
like when I just bought it. No programs installed, I want it to be just like
when I bought it so I can start over. I have nothing on my computer that I
can't reinstall or replace, so, I don't have a problem with doing this. Also,
I have this recovery and applications software that came with my computer, is
that what I need? Please Respond, thanks.

You know what to do with the munge what you need. back up any data you don't
want to lose on dvd/cd/another hard drive, restart, pop the restore disk in,
follow the instructions, and you are back in business.

Brink,

What you have to take into account, some OEMs tend to create custom images
of the OS with the actual applications they bundle with the system in the
Windows Image itself, so there is usually no way around just getting the
Operating system installed. Its one of the highly touted features to OEMs a
long time now, since Vista is more componentized and allows manufacturers to
almost create their own SKUs.

That is what the OP was asking for though Andre. Wants it back just like it
was when he first got it.
