restore points

i cannot do a system restore can anbody help i have tried
3 times and it will not restore to an earlier time
 
Be sure that you are restoring to dates on the calendar which are in BOLD.

I have had the same problem and read somewhere that this
does happen. I have tried about a dozen different
apparently valid restore points and none would work.

I would be greateful for a solution.
