In an attempt to restore my Pavilion to an earlier date
to use it on a network, I have used the restore program
to get the settings back to where they were before the
network card was installed. I have clicked every restore
point for the last 3 months and every one runs the
restore program, shuts down and reopens with the message
can't restore - try another restore point. I have tried
to reverse the last restore with the same result. Anbody
know whats going on?

Hi,

The restore files may be corrupted.
Try boot in safe mode and select last known good config.
If successfuly, right click My computer/System Restore
and then "check" the Turn Of System Restore box, click Ok
and reboot.
After reboot, enable the system restore feature again.
windows would clear all the old restore files and create
a new one for you.
