Do you get any error messages? The System Restore folder could have become corrupted. Try this:
Right click on My Computer, select Properties and then the System Restore tab. Enable 'Turn off System Restore on all drives' - reboot your PC. After the reboot go back into the System Restore options and uncheck 'Turn off System Restore on all drives'. Reboot your PC again - SR will then create a new Point for your PC.
