Win XP Home - 15 gig of free hard drive space. System
restore is turned on for Drive C.
I have two removable drives (USB hard drive and USB DVD
Writer) which show up in my computer when they are turned
on, but they are turned off except when actively in use.
No matter how many restore points are created, by the
system and/or by me, the only restore point available (bold
calendar date), is the most recent restore point from the
same day. All the others from previous days keep
"disappearing".
There are two hard drives listed in my computer: C:/ - my
"real" hard drive and F:/which is a small partition put on
by Dell when they setup the computer.
Both hard drives are listed in My Computer.
I have system restore turned off for drive F as it is a
very small (virtual) drive.
I have system restore turned on for drive C with the
maximum amount of disk space allocated.
Why is Windows constantly deleting all but the most recent
restore point?
