Restore Outlook Today

Thomas Borchert

Hi,

during the upgrade from Office XP to Office 2003, I used my stored
settings with the migration assistant. I had previously used a
different set of HTML-pages for Outlook Today which where available for
download from MS at some point.

However, these did not transfer to the new computer - and frankly, I
don't want them anymore. But: selecting the button to restore the
default settings does not work. The default page

res://C:\Programme\Microsoft
Office\OFFICE11\1031\outlwvw.dll/outlook.htm

cannot be displayed, it says. How do I get the default setting back?

Thanks!

Was that the MSNBC page? Search your registry for MSNBC and delete the keys,
restart outlook.

Diane,

I think it was. But I installed that on my old machine only, then
migrated the settings.

i found two entries, deleted them, but it didn't help. Found two "web
components" in the same place for MSN and Expedia. Should I delete
those, too? Any other ideas?

Thanks!

I'm having the same problem. Deleted registry keys from MSNBC, but have migrated computers, and there's just no Outlook today feature.

Which version of Outlook? Have you tried detect and repair? What is set of
the folder homepage dialog? (right click on outlook today icon and choose
properties, folder home page)
