Restore messages back to the e-mail account inbox

I made a terrible mistake!!
While adding an e-mail account to Outllook I forgot to select the
option of keeping a copy of messages to server inbox. As a result, all
my messages were removed from the account inbox and were transfered to
outlook inbox.
Can I do anything to restore them back?

Please help!
 
what type of account is it? if you can connect to it using imap, you can
restore them, otherwise, no.
