The new administrator account didn't replace your original account. You
apparently have XP Pro and were using the built-in Administrator for your
daily work and it was the single administrative account on the system. When
you create a second administrative account, the built-in Administrator is
hidden. This is by design.

You can log into your old account by doing Ctrl-Alt-Del at the Welcome
Screen. This will give you the classic logon box. Enter "Administrator"
(without the quotes) for the user and whatever password you assigned to that
account (if none, leave it blank).

Enable Administrator account on Welcome Screen from MVP Doug Knox:

OK, that means that you are using XP Pro and you have been using the
original Administrator account as your user account. There have been no
other user accounts on the system.

By default, when the Administrator account is the only account on the
system, it will appear on the Welcome screen. As soon as another user
account is created, it will not be shown (you can change this).

It's a very bad plan to run the system with only the Administrator account;
if the account corrupts, as accounts sometimes do, you will have no way of
getting into the system.

The Administrator account is still there. It hasn't been replaced. Press
Control+Alt+Delete twice at the Welcome screen to log into it.

Create yourself another user account and migrate your data and applications
to it, and stop using the Administrator account.
