Have you installed the Video drivers for your card? If not download and
install the latest drivers from the card manufacturer's web site.

Did you download all necessary hardware drivers from each individual
manufacturer for each hardware component that allows Windows XP to know how
to communicate with said device?

If not - better get to work on that now - because the video is probably only
one of several devices without proper drivers.

Visit the hardware manufacturer(s) web page(s) and download the software
drivers for each of the components.

If it is a "vendor" computer (Dell, HP, IBM, Gateway, etc..) - simply visit
the vendor's page and go to the support/downloads for the particular model
and download all hardware drivers.

If it is a piece-meal computer, you will need to figure out (receipt,
opening the computer, old Belarc hardware list (Belarc Advisor) what each
piece of hardware is and visit each manufacturer's web page. Be sure - at a
minimum - to obtain the motherboard chipset drivers, the hard drive
controller card drivers, the video card drivers, the modem drivers, the
network card drivers and the sound card drivers. Technically - if you have
the drivers for the hardware that will allow you to access the Internet,
everything else can be gotten later.

What happens when you install the most recent WinXP-specific video
drivers, as provided by your video adapter's manufacturer's web site?
