I've used others, not this particular one...there's more on google.

Hmm,

I trie this and got htis result

Microsoft Word 2002:
Validation Incomplete: Office Must Be Activated
The validation process could not be completed because your copy of
Microsoft Office has not been activated.

Activate Office now
a.. Start any Office application. The activation wizard will walk
you through the steps required to activate Office.
b.. For additional instructions, or if you have problems activating
Office and Office applications, visit knowledge base article # 828958. To
learn more about benefits of product activation, visit the How to Tell site.
I was unable to activate Office
If you are unable to activate Office by following the steps above or
using the methods in the knowledge base article, the copy of Office on your
computer may be counterfeit or may have been installed incorrectly.

Microsoft Office XP Professional with FrontPage:
Validation Failed
The product key used to install Office has been blocked by
Microsoft.

I don't know whether I have Microsoft Office installed or not

I use both Word2002 and FP2003 without any problems.

I installed FP2003 from the MSDN site sometime since 1 July (which was when
I was awarded the MVP). I am not sure about Word 2002. I think I may have
updated to 2002 from the MS Update site , but I can't recall. I know I have
been using Word since long before 2002. I think it was part of the orignal
install on the PC.

Add or Remove Programs says I have these installed
Microsoft Office FrontPage 2003
Microsoft Office XP Professional with FrontPage:
Microsoft Word 2002

I don't know why there is a reference to two FrontPage products.
Opening Microsoft Word 2002 does not initiate any activation process as
described in the error mesage.

This is the first time the Microsoft Validation has failed.

So what does one make out of this?

Perhaps I should delete all of these prodcts and reinstall them. That is, if
I have the CDs, or in the case of FP2003, the product key from MSDN

P.S. I just tried
Start
Microsoft Office Tools
Activate Product
and got the message "Product already activated"

Iconico one I had been using last year.
