Resize Window

L

Long Gone

Whenever I open a link in IE 6 that opens a second window, the second window
is too small. I can resize it with no problem, but its a pain to resize it
every time. I have tried resizing and holding down the shift key when I
close it. That works for that session or until I close IE. Once I open a
the browser again or reboot I'm back to the same small window. Any help
would be appreciated. TIA

First, you have to *close all other windows*. Now, grab the corners of the
window and drag it to full screen size. Close the window using File>Close,
or File>Exit depending what program you're in. Windows will remember the
last screen size used the next time you open the program.

Thanks for the quick reply Bruce. I opened IE6, clicked on a link that
opened a second IE window, resized it, closed the original IE then used
"file / close" to close the second window. When I open IE again and click
on a link I'm still getting a small window. Any other thoughts?

Hi Long Gone :)

If the suggestion from Bruce does not work, try the following and see if
they help:

Windows Maximizer here:
http://www.jiisoft.com/iemaximizer/download.asp
Windows AutoSizer free:
http://www.southbaypc.com/

IE Window maximizer utility, download from:
http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=1746
(Uses Windows API calls and automatically maximizes every browser window you
open)

Hope this helps :)
