The "Resize" menu item that I used a lot for image
resizing has disappeared. Can anyone tell me how to go
about getting it back? Thanks!

Click on Start, click on Run and type the following in the textbox:
REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL
and press Enter
Note that there is a space between ...32 and SHI...

Hey this really works... I had exactly the same problem. Why did it happen?

Thanks.

I tried this several times, but the "Resize" menu item
has still not returned. Is there anything else I can do
(reload something) to have the menu item return? Thanks!

Are you referring to...right click / resize?

Have you installed the ImageResizer powertoy
from the following site?

Windows XP PowerToys

Yes, I had installed the XP Powertoys early on. When I
re-installed the image resizer, the menu item came back.
Thank you so much. I use that item a lot and I'm so glad
you helped me get it back. I have no idea how it got
removed, but I'm glad it's back.
