Resetting the computer

I have a quicken program that had all the info regarding past history. I
understand that there is a process that will allow me to reset my system to
several days ago. how do I do this

If you are thinking of System Restore:

But it's not going to do much for "Quicken" - it restores (as the name
implies) SYSTEM files - "Quicken" doesn't contain anything "system-like".

For your own applications and files - you must rely on backups YOU setup and
maintain.
