I'm a new IT contractor for a local radio station trying to remove one
computer that is currently shared on a domain but everytime I try to change
the settings I get a message that the computer will revert back to it's
former settings after restarting. It appears that the switch back to 'not
shared' is accepted but when I reboot the computer, it goes right back to
allowing everyone on the network to access it. I'm trying to limit the
sharing to just 4 people instead of everyone (about 30 people) in order to
preserve the harddrive space. People are using the harddrive to store their
backups and it's getting full. Can someone point me to any knowledgebase
article or to recommend where I should go/look for a solution?

Use the security option of properties to limit who has full, modify, read,
write and special rights on the drive. Hard disks are cheap, sling another
drive on the machine share it for everyone else. (Once a week delete all the
media files i.e. music and vedio clips, that have been download off yr
harddrives and yoy will be amazed at the space you have)
