I have an Emachines T1100 with windows xp home edition.
I didn't get any disks with when Ipurchased the computer,
I want to create a rescue disk. How would I go about
doing this. Please let me know at (e-mail address removed).

You would read the manual that came with your computer, or the OEM Help
file, or go to the eMachines tech support website for this information.

1) This is a public forum. Answers are posted here for the benefit of
all. You'll receive plenty of emails, just not the kind you're expecting.
Remember that any messages purporting to be from MS, with attachments,
aren't.

2) You would need to contact E-Machines, as they would be required to
give you some means of restoring the system. This isn't something anyone
here can assist you with.

Many new machines have a second partition on the Hard Drive with the
recovery/system restore files on it instead of having a recovery CD.
The manual tells you how to make a recovery disk.
I would examine that possibility first.

Purchase a third party imaging program like Acronis TrueImage or BootIt NG.
You can create a full image of your current setup and use it later if you
need to restore your system.

If you just want to create a floppy that will enable you to boot an non
booting Windows XP check this out too

If you need access to the Recovery Console you can use either the six floppy
boot disk set which can be created by running this app
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/release.asp?releaseid=33290 or you can
burn the iso here http://www.tweakxp.com/article153115.aspx to CD and access
the Recovery Console with it. You will need third party software to create
the boot CD though as XP's built in CD Writing software can't extract and
iso image file to disc. This is free and works well
