requesting data in status bar hangs

I am having a problem with frontpage 2003...when I open my website to begin
editing, and place my cursor over any hyperlinks, the status bar
displays....requesting data.....and just hangs there. I tried recalculating
hyperlinks, but no luck. This happens on both my laptop and desktop. I did
recently have a problem with my desktop...one of the files containing the
systems registry data had to be recovered by use of a log or alternate copy
and the recovery was successful. I don't know if that has anything to do
with this, but I am having a problem opening this on my laptop as well. I
defragged and deleted unnecessary temp and temp internet files and then
recalculated the hyperlinks, but still no luck. Any suggestions? Thank you!!

Run a Help - Detect & Repair of FP
- then use the FP Cleaner to remove all hidden files and web cache folders
