request for Internet Explorer 5.0 or better (but I have it)

I have Windows ME and a cable connection to my computer. I haven't had any problems until I installed Business Plan Pro 2002. I had this on my computer last year, and had to reistall everything thanks to my teenage son. I had Windows 98 then and had no problems. I installed the program for Business Plan Pro and when I try to open it, the screen tells me I need internet explorer 5.0 or better. I have 6.0 on my computer, have done repair through the control panel, tried to download again and reinstall, but still cannot open my business plan program. HELP.
