REQ: Outlook Express .eml Attachments?

Y

young

I keep getting .eml attachments using Outlook Express - If I select
'open' on the file, it does nothing. If I select 'save', the file is
saved, but when I double click on it using Windows Explorer, the same
thing.

Is it me or is it the sender?

Hi,

It's the senders email client that assign the extension. You need to "train"
OE to open them. Do a shift+rightclick on one of the saved ones, choose
"open with...". Select OE from the program list and indicate to "always
use...". See if this helps.

You should be able to open an *.eml in 'Notepad', this way you should be
able to see if it is actually an e-mail (header info at top etc.,).

Suggest you run an AV check on the *.eml first though.
