Reporting Software

Hi,
Can someone suggest me any reporting software which can gennerate a report
using close to 100,000 records in the database.

I tried Crystal reports 2008 and Microsoft's report viewer(client rendered),
both of them retrieves all the data first and then generates the report. So,
it takes very long to generate the reports.

My requirement is that after user clicks on the Generate report, the report
should show up within 5 seconds.

I am looking for a reporting software which can query the data in batches
from the database and display something (atleast first few pages) and render
the rest of pages when the remaining data comes from the database.

Hi,

I do not think you will find something for that, of course the records
will be read and only then the report engine will create te report.
Remember that you can have groups, running totals, etc. I personally
do not know of any tool that can generate the report "on the fly"
