Report Designs

I'm in the design view of reports (Pro+ 2007) and when I try to click on a
field, the whole program hangs up and I can't do anything for about 30
seconds. Then when I click on another feature, ie, the Property window, once
I/m ready to move to something else, again the whole program hangs up for
about 30 seconds. The same is true for saving and switching from design view
to report view. Is this a common problem in version 2007 and is there a fix
for it?

Suggestions:

a) Have you applied Service Pack 2 for Office 2007? Source:

b) If the data is coming over a network, try copying the file to your local
hard drive.

c) Change your printer to a local one (not a network one), to see if that
helps. (Access uses the printer driver metrics to calculate the layout of
the report.)

d) If the report is based on a crosstab query, specify the column headings.
This gives you fixed columns, so it does not have to run the query to
completion before it knows what the field names are to display in design
