Depends on the nature of the post. If nobody can help, nobody responds.
This can be due to a problem too bizarre, or an insufficient problem
statement. Or a post that really belongs in a different newsgroup -
although someone will usually point that out with a helpful suggestion.

I am sorry I do not understand how to do what you
recommended - please explain further.

Lyle - It just occurred to me that maybe you're expecting email replies.
This doesn't happen, at least not often. The newsgroups are as much an
encyclopedia of problems/solutions shared by everyone as they are a
vehicle for individuals to get answers to specific questions, and to see
replies you must look at the newsgroup traffic. In case you haven't
been... Good luck.

Do you have OE installed on your computer? If so, set up a new account on
it, of the news type (not mail), fill out what is relevant to your personal
info (name you wish to post with, email address (although it's best to use
some form of "munge"ing like (e-mail address removed) ) - and for the
server name, use msnews.microsoft.com. Then once you're in, you pick the
newsgroups you wish to subscribe to using the Newsgroups button.

OE help will provide more information on this - it's worth doing.
