Reply and Forward arrows disappeared

I am using Outlook 2000 on an exchange server. Just recently, the reply and
forward arrows that would appear on the message envelopes in my inbox ceased
to appear. I have searched high and low to find out how to correct this with
no success. Can someone please help? Much appreciated.

Thank you, however it's not the toolbar that I'm missing. It's actually the
arrows that appear that denote when I've replied to or forwarded on an e-mail
in my inbox. Any suggestions?
