Replicating a hyperlink action in an MS Word docu...

I am trying to link (as in blue text saying "See Reference)a description or
text elaboration to a specific section (as in the Reference) such that when a
reader clicks on the (link) they are transported to the specific section in
the document that is referenced or elaborated upon. To put it another way, I
want to use hyperlinks in an MS Word (2002) Document.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
 
Click on Insert in the menu and select Cross Reference, make sure the Insert
as Hyperlink check box is checked on, and then select what it is you wish to
reference, such as Headings, bookmarks, figures etc...
