replacement disc

I have 2 copies of Windows XP Pro and would like to get
replacement discs because there have been so many updates
to the software since I purchased it. I was wondering if
anyone had a phone number or address I can contact MS in
an attempt to order replacement discs?

What kind of replacement disks are you looking for? The only other XP CDs that are available include SP1. There are no XP CDs that include all the Updates.

Sorry to hear there are only service pack discs. I was
hoping I could return my XP Pro discs and get
replacements with the updates already on them. If there
was a problem with XP Pro from the start, which aparently
there was, it just seems logical that they would offer
replacement discs to those who requested them.

If I make a purchase of something that is found to have a
integrity problem and or safety issue most manufacturers
would recal the product and send out a replacement. I
just thought this might be logical and available to XP
Pro customers.

Hi Brad

With the XP CDs - with or without SP1 included - there is no integrity (CRC) problem with original disks. Your posting is going into sublimity, that doesn't exist. If you think that a Win XP CD poses a safety issue, you can always contact Microsoft or your lawyer.

Call Red Hat for a replacement disk.
Spare yourself the horror.

Because a car has a safety issue the manufacturers do issue a safety recall
and fix the problem. They correct the problem, they don't give you a new
car. Microsoft has done this with their update service.
