Can I replace SP3 with SP2? I have a problem with my MP3 player installing
the MTP device using WMP 11 with SP 3. I cannot roll back to WMP 10 because
I never had it on my computer and I have not found a way to intall WMP 10
Can I replace SP3 with SP2?

Are you certain that SP 3 is the reason you are having trouble with your
MP3 player? So certain that you are willing to live with the security
risks you will be exposed to after you uninstall SP 3?

Were I in your place, I would contact the maker of your MP3 player and
ask for help with installing MTP.

The support person for the manufacturer suggested I uninstall SP3. The reason
for the number of post is the post never completed and I assumed it did not
go thru. As you see I tried several times. Thank you.

Your call. Me, if I had the choice between keeping Windows up to date
and protected against security leaks, on the one hand, and using my MP3
player, on the other hand, I would stick with SP 3. And I would not use
an MP3 player from a company that doesn't know how to write software
that works with Windows.

Let's hope that what really happened here is that you spoke with a level
one tech who doesn't the tuchus from the elbow.
