replace a style throughout a document

Is there a fast way to replace one style with another throughout a document?
For example, I want to change all the StyleXXX paragraphs to StyleYYY
paragraphs and then StyleXXX.

Yes. Use the Find/Replace box. Here are the steps
Go to the beginning of your document
Edit | Replace
Click the MORE button
Make sure your cursor is in the FIND text box
Click Format | Style
Choose StyleXXX from the list and click OK
Click in the REPLACE text box
Click Format | Style
Choose StyleYYY from the list and click OK
Click Replace ALL
