Just setting up new computer with windows mail. Every time I try to
create/send an e-mail, the "To" address is automatically copied when I type
it in. How do I prevent it from copying? It won't send like it is. Thanks
for any help.

..
Copied where?

It copies the name right next to the original name. I'm not able to delete
the second name so when I try to send it tells me the address is invalid.

Windows Mail puts a second name for that addressee next to the first
one, but not in a way that makes it active. This second name is
sometimes just a copy of the email address. Try sending your own
email address a short message, so you can see the result. Whether
this second name is visible to whoever you send the email to
depends on what email program they use to read it.

I see what you mean. The e-mail did send when I checked in Comcast's e-mail
program. It must be something else going on as to why it is not showing up
in windows mail. Thank you very much for your help....it is appreciated.
Take care.

You're welcome.

Some email providers are slow to do anything with the email after you send
it, so there's a possibilty that it will just arrive later than expected.

Also, some email programs delete the email from the server after you
download it, so that then looking for it with another email program
won't find it. Windows Mail can be set either to delete it from the
server or not.
