Repairing a USB port

My PC case has a front IO panel with two USB ports. Within one of these
ports the white "tongue" broke off - that small white piece that provides
back pressure for the USB contacts. Is it possible to effectively glue this
back, and if so can anyone recommend a glue for such a task? I'd replace the
entire IO panel but it's no longer offered by the manufacturer. TIA

I'm going to die rather sooner than I'd like. I tried to protect my
