Repair OE??? I'm lost...

I cannot send or reply to messages. At least the recipient is not receiving.
I've done a test and sent one from one account to the other and didn't
receive it. There are no error messages; they just don't make their
destination.

Someone said to turn off Privacy in McAffee; that didn't work. I can go to
Comcast's site mail and it sends just fine, so I've narrowed it down to OE.
(I think).

I'm using WindowsXP, SP2; Outlook Express 6. This started off about a month
ago, but at that time, messages would reach their destination sporatically.
The only change I made was to install McAffee, but it worked fine for about 2
months. I added the privacy feature and that's when I started to have
problems. But since disabling that feature, my mail still doesn't reach its
destination.

I'm not sure what other info would help, as I'm not very good at this. I've
been reading the forum someone suggested increase server timeouts, mine has
always been at 5 minutes and the rest of the settings are fine; I just
checked.

I hope someone can help... Thanks in advance.... Pam

Sorry I shouldn't have tried to set it as a link. You should use Outlook
Express and setup an account for the msnews server. You are using the very
horrible MS web interface to access usenet newsgroups. Try this link.

news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general
