Two shortcuts to OE don't work

At present the only convenient way I can get Outlook Express is to
click on the icon I've installed on my desktop. Previously if I was
using Internet Explorer I could reach it via the "mail" button on IE's
taskbar. It no longer works.

Also, I've just bought a new Windows keyboard. Besides the normal keys
there's a row of function keys across the top for sound functions, and
for quick access to IE (which works) - and Internet Explorer. It
doesn't work.

Could you please help me restore the functions of these two shortcut
keys to OE?

Thanks; Bob

Hi Bob,

What is the Brand and Model Number of the Keyboard in question? What
software is installed that supports the Keyboard? Also is Outlook Express
and Internet Explorer the default programs on your computer?

Make sure OE is set as the default e-mail program.

Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs | Set Program Access and Defaults |
Custom + Down Arrow | Select the radio button for Outlook Express.

Make OE the default e-mail client:
