OE settings for hotmail.co.uk?

Trying to set up a friend who has a hotmail.co.uk address. Working fine
on her 'phone, so the account is set up OK; trying to set it up on her
computer.

I've found web posts from which I'm fairly certain I've got the right
server names and port numbers (though there seem to be different answers
about the latter), but:

username: is this (e-mail address removed), or just xxx?

Is there more than one username and password (for the various things -
sending, receiving, logging in, etc.)?

What are the various settings for authentication, SSL, encryption, and
all the other things OE asks? There seems not to be 100% agreement on
that.

POP server: pop3.live.com (port 995)

POP SSL required should be "Yes"

User name: should be (e-mail address removed)

Password: same as hotmail password

SMTP server: smtp.live.com (Port 25)

Authentication required: Should be "Yes" (this matches your POP username and
password)

TLS/SSL required: should be "Yes"

Thanks for those.

When looking for the above on line, I found a few posts/webpages that
suggested that hotmail may have stopped working with POP clients, and/or
that they will but you have to turn it on first, or that it still works
but not for new accounts, or that it only works with Outlook and Outlook
Express not other POP clients, or ... most of these seemed to be from
around 2004-2006 though. A couple of them suggested selecting HTTP
rather than POP as the protocol.

Can anyone shed light? (Is hotmail.co.uk the same settings as
hotmail.com, apart obviously from user names?)

There's something about removing SSL here.
