repair install unsuccessful!!

I have win xp sp2 installed in AMD X2 3600+ on ASUS M2N-MX mobo and 1 gb ddr2
ram. recently i have performed a repair install from the cd which went on
nicely, except that i could not supply 'raspppoe.inf'. but at the end it
could not boot normally. after showing win xp logo and the moving bar the
screen freezes. It CAN boot into safe mode. in device manager no conflicting
device is found. tried to tweak with msconfig but with no avail. what to do???

Look in the Event Log to see if errors are recorded when you try the
normal boot. Enable boot logging and try to boot normally, then look in
the bootlog to see if anything of value can be obtained.
