Repair IE6 from SP2 - HOW?

S

Stephen

Hi

IE6 is playing up. I need to repair IE6

I loaded SP2 a few months ago from a CD (certified MS CD).

When I try to reinstall ie6 (C:\WINDOWS\inf) [right click install]
Windows asks for the CD SP2 but I cannot find the IEXPLORER_EXE
file on the CD (you cannot gain access to the CD's files - it's either
INSTALL or CANCEL).

Any help would be appreciated - thanks in advance - Stephen

Hi

Have a look in Windows Explorer for a folder named i386. Point to that when
asked for the SP2 CD.

I've tried that - Windows says it can't find the folder.

If I browse I only get a 'blank' screen on LOCATE FILE

Somethings wrong somewhere (Norton WinDoctor is not fixing this!)

Cheers, Stephen

Hi

Have you got a slipstreamed SP2 CD - use that if so?

Many thanks.
