My brother-in-law just got a new PC. I installed XPHome on it for him,
then went on holiday. I get back and he tells me that as he couldn't get
any audio from it, he decided to install XP again. He is a complete
newbie and thought As he saw me instal it he would do it again to try to
get audio. I had already told him he needed the audio driver disk which
he couldn't find.
Anyway, it looks like he now has 2 copies of XP on his system. I need to
go and visit to see just what he has done, but my question is, assuming
he has 2 copies, how do I uninstall the unwanted one?
I created partitions C, D, & E and installed XP to C.
Thanks.

Hi

Please see if the following article by Michael Stevens helps:

"I have two installations of XP on the same partition, how do I remove the
one I don't need?"
http://michaelstevenstech.com/xpfaq.html#two
Just a thought, I don't know if they are on the same partition yet, so
would Michael Steven's 'fix' still be valid if they are on different
partitions?
